New Gas Station MacEwen Coming To the Patch

After the recent demolition of the vacant building at the corner of the Parkway and Lansdowne, a new gas station will be moving in.

MacEwen are new to the area (the nearest one is almost 200 kilmetres away), as they have been focusing on Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec.

MacEwen will have a small store and coffee shop, and will focus on ethanol-blended gasoline.

Looking to make better use of the corner property than their previous tenants, it looks like they are making a side entrance directly off the Parkway.

We need another gas station like we need another Tim Hortons. Will this replace the one shut down beside the Mr Lube on Lansdowne/Consilla?

So let's see - on Lansdowne (from Brealey down) we have Pioneer, 7-Eleven, Ultramar, Mr Lube Esso (if still open), Canadian Tire, MacEwen (coming soon), Shell, Petro, Pioneer and then the others on Hwy 7 just outside the city......must admit it is a good location.

Great location but wasted opportunity. A&W should have built there with a drive in like they had years ago on Water St. Imagine a place for all us baby boomers with our own drive in restaurant. Hanging food trays from our windows paying 50's and 60's tunes while enjoying a swamp water !!! sigh
