There Was A Triple Stabbing Last Night At Water Street Residence

Further to the Media Release for Tuesday May 7, 2013
 
Triple Stabbing / Attempt Murder Update:
Shortly after midnight on May 7, 2013 police received two separate 9-1-1 calls reporting that three people had been stabbed near 576 Water St. and were being driven to PRHC. Police responded to both locations. Officers responding to Water Street observed a vehicle speeding away from the area. Police followed the vehicle to Swanston Avenue where the vehicle stopped and two passengers, Hamre and another male, fled on foot. Police located Hamre a short time later. The investigation revealed these parties in the vehicle were in fact the parties at the disturbance.
 
As a result of the investigation the following people were arrested and charged:
 
 Dylan Hamre, 22 years old. 
    • Attempt murder X2
    • Aggravated assault
    • Breach of Probation
 
Marissa Peplinski , 24 years old
    • Accessory after the fact to attempt murder X2
    • Accessory after the fact to aggravated assault
 
 
Stephen Thode
    • Accessory after the fact to murder attempt X2
    • Accessory after the fact to aggravated assault
    • Breach of Recognizance.

Triple Stabbing / Attempt Murder:
Shortly after midnight on May 7, 2013 police responded to a call at 576 Water St.  Three people, two males and a female, were taken to PRHC with stab wounds.  One male was treated and remains at PRHC and the other two victims were flown to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto with life threatening injuries.  The female victim is in the intensive care unit and the second male is undergoing surgery at this time.  Police remain at the scene and will be there for the duration of the investigation. Three people, two males and a female, have been arrested and police are looking for further suspects.
