PTBOCanada Featured Post: We Take You Inside The Amazing Premiere Studio Of Dance

After a long and hot summer, September is finally here and for many families with it comes the return to school and routine. You might not want to admit it, but you’re probably welcoming a little structure coming back into your life!

But what does routine really look like? Sign-ups for sports and clubs are happening at a fever pitch and deciding where to turn can be the toughest part!

Premiere Studio of Dance

Robyn Carter, owner of Premiere Studio of Dance located at 1046 County Road 19, knows that keeping kids of all ages active and happy at the same time is a tough task.

Often times, you’ll only get one and not the other. Offering fun filled lessons in jazz, tap, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, Broadway and acro, Premiere Studio of Dance covers it all and then some.

Beyond their ability to teach children dance to one day potentially move on to professional programs, the most important thing to Premiere Studio of Dance Carter says is that they encourage kids to LOVE dance, movement and exercise and to have FUN along the way!

Everyone is welcome and encouraged to register no matter what their experience level is. They offer classes from beginner through to advanced, from age 2 to adult.

They’re large enough with three studios, plus a Lakefield location, to truly offer a class to suit everyone's needs! New this year, they are even offering a competitive class for ages 3-5 based on demand and a growing group of tiny dancers (cue the classic Elton John track).

Over the year, dancers will learn basic steps and movements as well as a different routine each month in class. Once December rolls around, dancers begin to learn their recital piece which is performed at the year-end recital.

January brings more work and rehearsal on their routine as they edge closer to June when the big show takes place at Showplace Performance Centre, allowing every dancer their time to shine and show off the hours of practice they’ve put in all year!

Classes start September 7th and registration is on-going. Parents can call 705.741.6545 to register by phone or email info@premieredance.ca for more information. Classes are filling up quickly and spaces are limited so it’s best to register your child early to avoid disappointment.

Not sure how much time you or your tiny dancers want to get involved in dancing? No problem! Premiere Studio of Dance offer three varying comprehensive full year programs (September - June) which allows people to get the most out of their dance experience. Recreational allows a dancer to take as little as one class a week in whatever style they are most interested in.

Competitive Level 1 offers 6 hours of training or less a week in multiple dance styles, while Competitive Level 2 is more than 6 hours a week of training! Flexibility is key (pun intended) with changing classes an option should students want. Also, a refund policy is available should kids not be fully happy with their chosen class.

Premiere’s proven track record speaks for itself. Their alumni have gone on to attend elite dance programs at York University, Ryerson, Sheraton Musical Theatre and more. Just this year, TWO of their alumni are heading to New York City to join the Alvin Ailey dance program with dreams of dancing on Broadway!

If you or your kids have the itch to dance and want to take it to the next level, Premiere Studio of Dance would love to have you!
