The All Saints Church is hosting a musical fundraiser at 235 Rubidge Street for The Stewart Street and Area Community Association on January 24, 2015 at 7:00pm. Feelin’ the Country with the Sound of Gospel features multi-award winning artists Cheryl Dunn and Roxanne Flagler, and their band. The Association officially invites the local Stewart Street Park community, and the greater Peterborough area, to show their support by attending what is sure to be a fantastic concert. This fundraising effort will continue in assisting the Association to develop the Stewart Street park with the purchase of a new picnic shelter. The shelter will provide shade for our community kids to play and eat, as well as a way for rain water to collect from the roof, for our gardens.
The Stewart Street and Area Community Association began as an initiative to foster positive and tangible change in a community that has often been undervalued and overlooked. Our first goal towards this change was to raise funds to construct a playground. We successfully raised those funds, with your help, and are happy to announce that the playground will be built this spring.
