Mike Ranta, whom recently completed a 200-day cross-Canada solo canoe trip in honour of Canadian Veterans, will visit The Canadian Canoe Museum for a public talk on Thursday November, 17th at 7pm hosted by James Raffan.
This event is free to the public, and museum admission is free after 5PM. A donation to the museum in lieu of admission is greatly appreciated.
Mike will show photos and tell stories of his journey. A Q&A will follow the talk. There will be reserved seating for Canadian Veterans. Ranta's canoe will also be on display for people to see.
"My upcoming visit to the canoe museum in Peterborough fills me with childlike anticipation! It warms me to know that so many different types of people who traveled the waters in such similar ways with a craft of similar design only hardens the fact that we are all connected with the water and the peace it brings!" says Ranta.
