Partnering with Peterborough performance company Fleshy Thud, and A Certain Place: The Bernie Martin Festival, Public Energy brings back Myrmidon, a theatrical-poetical gem of a performance, written by the late Bernie Martin.

Myrmidon is the story of one woman's magical, mystical, and mettlesome journey down a river, through a river, within a river. Written by multidisciplinary local artist Bernie Martin just before his death, this one-act play was originally presented at Peterborough's Union Theatre in 1995 by Writers Workshop Theatre. Based in part on the Grimm fairytale “The Magic Flounder,” Myrmidon depicts the struggle to live with integrity in a world where one is doomed to fail. “Mind the water…your feet.” A hit at Public Energy's Emergency #21 Festival in 2015, this one-act play is realized by a veteran group of Peterborough theatre artists.
