Our Lady Of The Wayside will be holding an end of year celebration and fundraising event to support the operations of the school. It will take place Friday, June 24th at The Venue and will feature The Double Cuts, 10-piece band
The 20th Anniversary of Our Lady Of The Wayside will be celebrated next school year.
The image that originally inspired the name of the school was Our Lady of the Wayside
"We're so happy to announce a name that clarifies both our Catholic heritage and our growing role in the Peterborough community," says Michael Doyle, Teacher and Administrative Team member of the school. Kim Maika, who is also part of the school’s Administrative Team explains,Toronto’s most genial Western swing band.
This aims to honour the legacy of Bob Wills through the spirit of lively performance and quality musicianship. "The Double Cuts put on a must-see show. Even if you don't dance, you'll be blown away by the musicianship and energy," says Doyle.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to The Mount Community Centre. Doors open at 7 p.m. Music starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at The Venue, Our Lady Of The Wayside Catholic School, and online at https://the-double-cuts.eventbrite.ca.
