CMHA HKPR is pleased to announce that the 12th Annual Healthy Minds – Healthy Life Golf Tournament, sponsored by Kevan and Roberta Herod of Herod Financial Services will take place on Thursday, June 8th at The Quarry. Registration is at 11:00 with a 1:00 shotgun start. Herod Financial Services is pleased to support this tournament once again, to encourage the ongoing conversation about mental health and to help raise funds to support important programs and services offered by CMHA HKPR.
We know that 1 in 5 people are affected by mental illness in their lifetime but that almost 50% of those who are affected are afraid to seek help due to stigma. Kevan Herod states “Herod Financial Services knows that through talking about our mental health, the stigma of mental illness can be eliminated and more people will get help. We are proud to support CMHA HKPR in their endeavors.” Some of the funds from the 2016 tournament have been directed towards presenting “Living Life to the Full”, a mental wellness based 8 week group workshop based on cognitive behaviour therapy and the provision of 1,500 Wellness Tool-kits for new clients of CMHA. Other funds from the tournament continue to support mental health education.
Golfers may register as foursomes or as singles at a cost of $150 per person. This includes a lunch provided at registration, dinner, prizes and contests. Register by May 18th and you will be eligible for entry for the early bird prizes.
