Rheostatics (Canadiana Indie) | Aug 23
Since their formation in Toronto in 1978, Rheostatics, one of Canada’s most influential and eclectic bands, have made 11 albums including and Whale Music (1992) and Melville (1991), which placed fourth and fifth respectively on Chart’s 2000 list of the all-time best Canadian Albums. In 2007, the band decided to call it quits after Tim Vesely decided to focus on The Violent Archers. Thankfully for indie music fans, Vesely along with Dave Bidini, Dave Clark, Martin Tielli reunited in 2015, four musicians with distinctly different styles, who exhibit the uncommon willingness to experiment with any kind of musical idea.
