/St. Luke's Anglican Church in Peterborough's East City posts witty messages on their signs that are definitely getting noticed in the community and way beyond.
Singer/songwriter Carling Stephen took this picture below on Saturday (February 25th), she tells PTBOCanada, and posted it to Twitter. It is now going viral with more than 1,000 retweets already...
Back in December 2016, she posted this tweet and photo from the church's sign that also went viral...

A Peterborough Squirrel Enjoys McDonald's On Lovely Sunday Funday
/Our Scott Arnold caught this Peterborough squirrel basking in the sun and enjoying some McDonald's food on Sunday (April 17th) behind the old post office downtown.
We're hoping the squirrel put his McDonald's bag in garbage. No littering.
No word on what beverage he selected, but it looks like he's gnawing on a french fry...

The Peterborough Police Car Decal Spelled Polce Has Been Fixed
/A photo making the rounds on social media platforms around town shows a photo of a Peterborough Police car with the decal "POLCE" instead of "POLICE". Oops.
Now obviously it was a typo—mistakes happen all the time. You can look at something a million times and just miss it.
Look at what happened out East...
Anyway, the decal has been fixed now Peterborough Police tell us.
"We can confirm that the vehicle is one of our Police cruisers that was recently repaired," says Lauren Gilchrist from the communications department. "It was removed from Service immediately and the decal has now been fixed."
And police are having good fun with it on Twitter, responding with this tweet to someone who tweeted the picture to them.

A Hot Tub + Banana Bread = One Of The Funniest Police Releases Ever

Our friends at Kawartha Lakes Police Service were called to one of the strangest calls ever. Here it is from their police brief on Monday (July 13th)...
"On July 10, 2015 police responded to a call from a woman who claims she awoke to what she thought was a man and a woman exiting her hot tub naked. Upon arrival at the scene, a taxi van full of young adults was about to leave and police were able to speak with a woman who admitted to having been the one in her neighbor’s hot tub. The woman apologized and advised she would make it up to her neighbor by baking her some banana bread. Parties were cautioned and no further action was taken by police."
The cheeky display copy in the police brief probably says it best: "Nothing Banana Bread Can't Fix".
So yes, remember this: There Is Nothing Banana Bread Can't Fix.
