62-Year-Old Driver Charged With Failing To Stop at School Crossing

Peterborough Police Service has charged a 62-year-old driver with failing to obey a school crossing stop sign reported on Wednesday.

The incident occurred at roughly 8:55 a.m. on Monday at the intersection of Armour Road and Hunter Street East. No injuries were reported.

Peterborough Police remind motorists to be extra cautious around schools.

Under the Highway Traffic Act, motorists must stop before reaching the crossing and remain stopped until all persons including the school crossing guard have cleared the roadway.
