While the Night is Young is showcasing Andria Simone at her first Peterborough performance. In this age of genre mash-ups her sound might best be described as funkadelic blues. Andria’s torch-singer-meets-bluesy grit voice carries both original and cover tunes with equal authority. Her sound is framed and enriched by band members, George Nikolov, Mark Wilson, Brian Dhari, Dave Kirbyrich on guitar, drums, bass and sax.
