Our number one financial backer and all-around general supporter is sponsoring a build on their normal HTCA ride night. Peterborough Cycling Club members and all trail users are encouraged to come out.
Tuesday the 12th at 6:00 PM. Work will likely run for 2 hours. Join me and my co-hosts, Alex Groenke (PCC-HTCA Liason) and Gord Gallant (my fellow volunteer coordinator) for some fun in the forest!
Come out and help us work on the new trail; maybe even suggest a name for it.
We don't set rain dates - if it's pouring at 4:30 in Peterborough, we will cancel the build, but so far, we haven't cancelled a build.
Sorry dog lovers, dogs have to be on leash at HTCA, so having your dog at a build is heavily discouraged. Too many new people, too many hazards and too much work to keep you occupied, after all.
Never been to a build? No problem. All you need is water, solid, closed-toe footwear (steel toes are not discouraged) and rugged clothing. Eye protection and long pants are encouraged. A positive attitude is the only other thing you'll be needing. You'll be volunteering - stay as long as you want, work as hard as you want - no pressure!
Thanks to Craig / Pet Valu for donated cookies and Alex Groenke for donated refreshments!
