Networking is often compared to dating. How do I introduce myself? What am I going to say? Why would they want to even talk to me? Walking into a room of strangers and introducing yourself can be intimidating for many people. Others love the experience of meeting new people and dive into business networking events with ease. No matter where you fall on this scale, you can improve your networking skills and comfort.

On Wednesday, November 2, at Elmhirst Resort in Keene, ON, members and guests of the Women’s Business Network of Peterborough (WBN) will engage in a fun and interactive evening of instruction with veteran actress and improv performer, Linda Kash to learn creative techniques to get more comfortable building and strengthening your connections through interactive networking.  

Linda Kash is best known as Canada's beloved Kraft Philadelphia Cream Cheese Angel, which has become one of Canadian advertising's most successful campaigns and is now in its 11th year. Linda has also taught sketch writing and improvisation for Humber College and teaches corporate workshops for Beyond the Box. She began her professional life at Second City in Toronto and has appeared in a number of plays for Canadian Stage. She has been a guest on Seinfeld, Third Rock from the Sun, Cybill, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Ellen. Her list of films includes Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, the multi-nominated Cinderella Man, and, most recently, Man of the Year.

The evening will also feature the WBN’s trademark networking and social hour with a sustainable tour in a horse-drawn covered wagon, exhibitor tables, followed by a dinner. Members have the chance to share positive experiences about fellow businesses and community members during Twoonie Testimonials, as well as opportunities to promote exciting events and programs with each Door Prize.
