SPECIAL NOTE: This is your final chance to qualify to compete for the title of 2017 Peterborough Indy Slam Champion. This years 1-2-3-4 Slam will be held in January and the winner of this event will be given the opportunity to represent Peterborough at the Canadian Individual Poetry Slam Championship at Verses Festival of Words in Vancouver, British Columbia! Details to follow.
Regular Slam Rules - Each performer competes in two rounds - 5 Judges are slected from the audience who score each poem out of 10 - All Pieces Must be Original - No Props, Nudity or Musical Accompaniment - Service Animals and other adaptive devices are welcome - There is 3:00 minute time limit with a 10 second grace period - 0.5 points are deducted after 3:10 and then for each additional 10 seconds over. - The points are not the point... the poety is the point
