Ring in the new year with Peterborough`s swinginest, rockinest rhythm and blues band, The Rocket Revue, this NEW YEAR’S EVE at The Parkway Banquet Hall, located in the Mark’s Work Wearhouse Plaza.
This show will feature the large scale version of `The Rocket,` with special guest, BEAU DIXON. The Revue is 10 players and counting, featuring the dynamic Rocket rhythm section: Brent Bailey on keys and vocals, Al Black on drums and vocals, Andy Pryde on bass, Gary Peeples on guitar and vocals and Shea Bailey on congas and percussion. As always, it is the sheer power of the horn section that drives, and defines the unique sound of the Rocket Revue. The horn section consists of: Jim Usher on tenor sax, Steve McCracken on baritone and alto sax, Rob Roy on trombone and band leader Greg Weichel on trumpet.
With 4 different lead singers, the band's musical repertoire is extensive, covering over 88 years of rock, soul, R&B, blues and jazz. There will always be music to please all tastes and, of course, lots of dancing!
Tickets can be purchased in advance at Moondance on George Street (on the west side between Brock and Hunter) or at Parkway Banquet Hall. Ticket cost is $42. Doors open at 8pm for general admission table seating and the show starts promptly at 9pm. Included are party favours for midnight. Munchies and a light menu are available for purchase.
