The next race in the Trent AR series is the popular Symons Snowshoe Adventure! A team based snowshoe race combined with navigation by map and compass. Competitors will travel on and off-trail to checkpoints located throughout Trent Universty's sprawling campus Nature Areas. Teams must navigate to a series of CP's worth differing points in any order. Go as hard, or as easy as you like. Run, walk or crawl, you set the pace, however the more checkpoints you collect the higher you'll rank. Teams of two have up to 3-hours to collect as many checkpoints as possible. Grab a friend and join us for an enjoyable afternoon of adventure running.
Note: Snowshoes are not required, They may be usefull if the snowpack is deep. A good pair of trail shoes or fastpackers will likely suffice. We will update snowpack conditions as we approach the race!
Teams that finish past the 3 hour mark will be deducted 10 points for every minute late. Teams of 2 (Coed, Male, Female).
Cost is $20 per person and grants you membership to the club which in turn gives you free access to the rest of the season's upcoming races! If you've raced at the Summer Solstice, Fall Classic or any of the 3 practice races, then your membership is current. If you have raced these events you're good to go.
