National Access Awareness Week is happening May 23rd-27th, and The Council for Persons with Disabilities is hosting a kick-off event at the Peterborough YMCA (123 Aylmer St) on Tuesday May 24th. The event is free for everyone, and will feature an exciting wheelchair basketball game in partnership with the Peterborough Patriots, and displays from local service agencies. The event starts at 10am, and will run until 1145. Come watch the game, learn to play (equipment provided) and learn more about the services in the area.
