Thomas A. Stewart Secondary School on Armour Road in Peterborough will be the location for a 5km WALK for ALS on Saturday May 7th, 2016.
Registration for the third annual WALK for ALS in Peterborough will be at 9:30am with the walk starting at 11:00am.
This fundraiser will support the purchase of equipment, supplies and research for ALS patients living in the area.
WALK for ALS promises to be a fun, family-friendly event. While the majority of walkers may have a connection to someone with ALS, anyone is welcome to participate and teams are encouraged. There will be live entertainment, breakfast served before the walk compliments of Kelsey’s and a free barbeque lunch provided by the Peterborough Lions Club after the walk.

About ALS Canada
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, or ALS, is a devastating neuromuscular disease. It is also called Lou Gehrig's disease after the legendary New York Yankees first baseman that lost his battle to ALS at the age of 38. After diagnosis, 80% of ALS patients die within two to five years. Everyday two to three Canadians are diagnosed with ALS. Together we are working to provide help for those living with ALS and to provide hope through our world-renowned ALS research.
