Business owners and managers often have a lot of questions when it comes to hiring people with disabilities.
To help address these questions, the Peterborough Downtown Business Improvement Area is partnering with Accessibility Ontario, the Ontario Business Improvement Area Association, and the City of Peterborough to host a free forum for business owners and managers.
May 9, 2016
6 to 8 p.m.
Princess Gardens Retirement Residence
100 Charlotte Street, Peterborough
The forum will showcase local businesses and their stories of success in hiring people with disabilities, presentations on accessibility strategies, and a lineup of experts to answer questions like:
• Will it cost more to have an employee with a disability
• Will they have the skill to get the job done?
• What are the benefits of having an employee with a disability?
The forum is free and is open to everyone (not just DBIA members).
