The Women’s Business Network of Peterborough 2016 - 2017 season begins Wednesday, September 14, and will host author, businesswoman, and one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada, Barb Stegemann as the evening’s keynote speaker.

Ms. Stegemann will speak on the topic “Waking Up to Our Purpose” and share how to remove the clutter and distractions of life to reconnect with your mission and service on this earth despite life’s challenges. She will share how a tragic attack on her best friend ignited her to take on his mission of peace despite the obstacles. Drawing from her best-selling book, The 7 Virtues of a Philosopher Queenshe will reveal how the daily practice of the virtues from wonder and moderation to truth and courage, will guarantee a life of meaning and purpose.

The evening will also feature the WBN’s trademark networking and social hour with exhibitor tables, followed by a plated dinner. Members have the chance to share positive experiences about fellow businesses and community members during Twoonie Testimonials, as well as opportunities to promote exciting events and programs with each Door Prize. The WBN’s featured speaker, Ms. Stegemann, will present at 7:30 p.m. following dinner.
