Our Lady Peace
When American writer Mark Van Doren wrote the seminal poem, “Our Lady Peace” in 1943, he never could have imagined that a Canadian music group, in a rock and roll genre that hadn't existed yet, would adopt his title for their name. Consisting of Raine Maida, Duncan Coutts and Steve Mazur, Our Lady Peace is one of the most successful bands in Canada today. Having sold over five million albums worldwide, winning four JUNO Awards, and ten Much Music Video Awards (the most ever by any artist or group), the band has had a profound impact on the Canadian alternative rock scene over the past 25 years. Their latest album Curve debuted in the top 10 in Canada and the first single “Heavyweight” charted at #1 on Canada’s Mainstream Rock radio airplay chart.
River Town Saints
Their beginnings may be rooted in small towns surrounding the Ottawa River, but there is nothing small about River Town Saints. A 5-piece, harmony-driven group with rock n’ roll roots, Chris Labelle, Chris McComb, Jeremy Bortot, Jordan Potvin and Daniel DiGiacomo, have proven that a little heart (and a lot of work) does, in fact, go a long way.
River Town Saints released their debut single “A Little Big Goes a Long Way”, landing them on many “Artists to Watch Lists” for 2016. They released their highly anticipated second single, “Cherry Bomb” in the spring of 2016. Their most recent single, “Bonfire” is currently climbing the charts – it’s a catchy, upbeat track about friends from a small town, heading downtown to party and “light it up like a bonfire”. The group recently opened for Tim Hick’s on his Shake These Walls tour, and is gearing up to head out on tour with Kip Moore in western Canada.
Coleman Hell
Coleman Hell crafted a genre-defying Monster of a hit with his breakout single “2 Heads.” The mesmerizing track has accumulated over 90 million streams on Spotify and is certified 4 x Platinum in Canada and Gold in the US. Coleman released his debut album, Summerland, in Fall 2016, which also includes the Platinum single, “Fireproof”, and his latest single, “Devotion”. Summerland was nominated for a 2017 Juno Award for Pop Album of the Year, following up Coleman Hell’s nomination for Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the 2016 awards.
