The Art Gallery of Peterborough is proud to present the inaugural Juried Exhibition from the Kawartha Potters Guild. Artists were selected for excellence and creativity. This is a representation of the diversity and creativity of Kawartha’s ceramics artists. We are excited to support this new endeavour.

Juror: Joni Moriyama

Joni Moriyama has worked for more than 35 years as a ceramic artist making vessel and sculptural forms. She received her undergraduate training at the Ontario College of Art (now OCAD University) in 1984 and her MFA in Ceramic Art at Alfred University in New York State, 1994. Joni has taught ceramics and art education in university and recreational schools to school age children, post-secondary age students, adults and seniors for over 20 years. Since 1999 to present, she has taught ceramics and 3-D design at OCAD University. She also teaches ceramics in her home studio, Studio Dalmori, in Toronto. Currently, Joni is a mentor for the Ceramic Artist in Residence program at Harbourfront Centre.
