Starting the first Saturday of May and continuing weekly, Grey Guardian Games will host free-play tutorial sessions of board games new and old, entry-level and advanced for all-comers. For the month of June, participants will be able to get in on one of the following games:
Saturday, June 9th: Massive Darkness, a co-operative dungeon crawler set in a high fantasy world, where the shadow provides both boon and bane. Journey through an epic campaign to collect loot and glory, or test your might & magic in a one-off scenario.
Saturday, June 16th: Epic Spell Wars, a game of wild wizardry and bloody spectacle as 2 to 6 Wizards from across the spell-blasted world annihilate each other with carefully-crafted spells for guts, glory, and because there is nothing else left to do! Published by Cryptozoic Entertainment.
Saturday, June 23rd: Splendor, a game of mercantilism and prestige, wherein 2 to 4 players take the role of Renaissance-era merchants looking to build their market and gain the adulation of the nobility for their work. Playes will need to buy gem mines, means of transportation, shops and improve them to gain the notice of the nobility, and thus grow their market and notoriety. By Asmodee and Space Cowboys.
Saturday, June 30th: Dead of Winter, a co-operative game of post-apocalyptic survival and tension for 2 to 4 players. Players will take turns managing their movement around an abandoned countryside as they collect food, munitions and materials to survive an unforgiving winter in a world laid waste by the undead. But not everyone has the same needs. Players will need to balance helping their group with pursuing their own, private objectives... or maybe even work at hiding a greater betrayal from their community. By Plaid Hat Games.
Event attendees and followers of our Facebook page will also have the opportunity to voice their opinion on what selection of games they would like to see for the following months.
Our Upcoming Events section is brought to you by Patrick McAuley of Bowes & Cocks LTD Brokerage.
