Parkinson’s Superwalk

The Peterborough Chapter of the Parkinson’s Society of Canada are pleased to announce this year’s Superwalk will take place September 8th, 2018 at Thomas A. Stewart Highschool and once again the local chapter is hoping to be among the biggest fundraisers in the country.

The 24th annual local Superwalk is the premiere event for the Parkinson’s Society’s fundraisingand awareness efforts. In the last 5 years the Peterborough Chapter has raised over $220,000 dollars to provide support for Parkinson’s sufferers and fund research.

Last year, a local team was the second highest fundraiser in the country, gathering more than $28,000.

2017’s Peterborough Superwalk raised over $52,000 alone and was 5th highest total raised in the province, the most outside the GTA and Ottawa.

Over $37 million has been raised nationally since the walk was started in 1990.
