Electric City Hacks (https://echacks.dev/) is a 36-hour hackathon where student software developers and engineers travel from different cities, provinces, and countries to meet at Trent University in Peterborough campus to create extraordinary software projects in a 36-hour period. Most of these students come with a background in software development, software engineering, web development, graphic design, etc.

This is the 4th year of Electric City Hackathon and last year we had 5% students from Peterborough & the Kawarthas, 45% from Toronto and the GTAs, 30% from Waterloo, 10% from Ottawa and Kingston region, 9% from other Canadian provinces and 1% from outside of Canada register for our hackathon. We are the biggest and the only Hackathon meet in all of Peterborough and the Kawarthas region.
