Hunt the Hare CD Release Party

Celtic group Hunt the Hare is gearing up for a CD Release Party to celebrate the completion of their first album, titled Cheer & Song.  The band is proud to share the fruits of their labour with fans on February 16, 2019 in the Bryan Jones Theatre at Lakefield College School starting at 7:00pm.  Tickets are $15 and available at huntthehare.ca.

Hunt the Hare is a local band composed of guitarist Brendan Quigley, singer / drummer Frank Callaghan, fiddler Kane Miller, and piper / mandolinist Jonathan Berlingeri.  Over the past 3 years, they have become well known locally for playing traditional and modern Celtic music at high-energy shows. They have played a wide variety of events throughout Peterborough City and County, including performances at Peterborough Pulse, The Norwood Fair, and various St. Patrick’s Day events as well as open jam sessions at Kingfisher Bay Resort.  Most recently, they helped the Peterborough Medical Brigade raise funds for their upcoming missions trip to Uganda at Brigade Aid 2019.

Cheer & Song is the result of a desire to capture the fun of a live Hunt the Hare show on a recording.  It includes traditional Celtic sets, waltzes, and Stan Rogers’ classic Northwest Passage for good measure.  CDs will be available for sale at the show.
