Kids' Weaving Workshop

W&L co-owner and fibre art enthusiast Erin Watson is hosting her weaving workshop again this March Break for crafty kids ages 5-15! Got a little one who might need a bit of help? Feel free to come along and weave together. (We had a wide range of ages last year, and everyone did a fantastic job.)

This workshop will provide all the required materials and step-by-step instruction on the basics of weaving. Once everyone gets the hang of the simple over-under technique, they'll be off to the races and ready to play around with some different textures and accents to create their one of a kind wall tapestry.

Lucky for us all, weaving is very forgiving so no previous experience is necessary! The best part is that you likely already have most materials to recreate the experience and practice at home.

Materials provided:

cardboard loom (6x8" with slices .5" apart at the top)
yarn, ribbon, and/or old ripped up t-shirts
plastic fork
wooden dowel (AKA a stick from the backyard)
scissors
2 hour class

Water & snacks provided.

Choose from two sessions: Tuesday March 12th 1-3pm, OR Wednesday March 13th, 1-3pm.

$25 per kid (Feel free to abandon your spawn with us for the two hours, or tag along for free)
