Mental Health First Aid is the first help given to someone with an emerging mental health problem or in a mental health crisis until appropriate treatment is found or the situation is resolved. This segment will provide a snap shot of the basic actions of mental health first aid and highlight the benefits to society including; greater confidence to engage someone with an emerging mental health problem, greater recognition of mental health problems, decreased stigma and improved mental health for themselves.
