All are welcome to join us on a walking discussion through Peterborough’s downtown. Along the way we will chat about what we want for the future, maybe what we don’t want and how can we help make that happen.
We’ll cover a number of topics:
What makes an economically healthy downtown?
Who is downtown for? How do we make it for everyone?
Car versus pedestrian versus bicycles; making it work.
How do we preserve the historical fabric of downtown while still encouraging growth?
All are welcome to attend this free event. We will meet outside the Ontario Government building at 300 Water St (Charlotte St. and Water St.). Parking is available underground at Peterborough Square.
The route will consist of paved surfaces and street crossings. There will be plenty of breaks for conversation. Dogs are welcome and must be kept on leash, please stoop and scoop. Please let us know at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any accommodation needs.
May is Shifting Gears in Peterborough, we encourage you to walk, bike, bus, or carpool to and from the walk - and remember to log your trips!
You don't need to register, but if you do we will have a way to email you in case there is an unforeseen change in plans.
