Hello! The YES Shelter for Youth and Families are hosting a special event this friday at the First Friday Art Crawl downtown Peterborough and we'd love to see you there.
Once each month for the last year, YES has been hosting an art drop-in to offer youth an opportunity to connect with each other, YES staff, and local artists. Everyone involved has had a growing sense of community and as a result we’re becoming more and more comfortable with creating together and showing vulnerability through those creations.
This project has shown us how opportunities to be creative in groups can equalize participants while encouraging us to cherish that which makes us unique. Come see what we’ve created, talk to those involved, and if so inclined, make some marks.
