Big Band Day is a free public event sponsored by the Peterborough Concert Band. It features 5 local bands including the Peterborough Concert Band, Electric City Swing Band, Knightshift, Northern Spirit Big Band and the Ron Marenger Big band.
It will take place at Millennium Park on September 13. The bands will perform for 45 minutes each, from noon until 5 p.m. A wide variety of music will be presented including swing, jazz, pop, rock and gospel. This is the fifth annual Big Band Day.
