Halloween in the Booro 2025

On Saturday, October 25 (from 4 - 6PM), Downtown Peterborough will become a family-friendly Halloween hub as the Downtown Business Improvement Area (DBIA) presents their annual Halloween in the Booro event, a free and community-focused evening of trick-or-treating and downtown fun. More than 45 local businesses in the Downtown and East City will hand out treats, whimsical characters will roam George Street, and a Family Friendly Zone will host a fun Halloween-themed photobooth and costume contests for kids, adults and pets. This family-friendly evening is a night where downtown becomes a storybook brought to life.

By drawing hundreds of families to the core, the event creates opportunities for residents to discover local businesses, increases evening foot traffic, and supports the small business community that is central to Peterborough’s economy.

Families can plan their route using the official trick-or-treat map available at theboro.ca and on @theboroptbo (Instagram/Facebook). The map lists all participating businesses, accessible entrances, and family-friendly stops. This event is free and open to the public.
