The third annual Home Energy and Electric Vehicle Expo will take place on May 23 at the McDonnel Street Community Centre (577 McDonnel St). The Expo will feature local contractors specializing in heat pumps, solar panels, and energy auditing, as well as the Better Homes Peterborough program. Attendees are encouraged to ask household-specific renovation questions to identify how their home could become more energy-efficient.
Community electric vehicle (EV) drivers will also be on hand in the parking lot to share their experience driving EVs in the Kawarthas, including winter driving and refuelling considerations. EV test drives will be offered by Plug 'n Ride to demonstrate the capabilities of EVs for all attendees with a valid driver's license.
