Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Pain (May 19)

Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Pain is a FREE six-week workshop series that is designed to help people living with chronic pain conditions (ex., arthritis, musculoskeletal injury, neuropathy etc.) to better cope with their pain symptoms and manage activities of daily life.

Each weekly session focusing on learning new skills and strategies to help ease symptoms and help each person create meaningful and specific weekly goals that will lead to achieving better overall health and wellbeing.

This education workshop series is very interactive and supportive.

We understand that 2.5 hours can be a long time to sit so we incorportate a break and encourage people to take care of their needs during the lesson (bring a pillow, stand up and move around, etc.).

During this workshop we will be introducing The Moving Easy Program which is a series of 26 safe and gentle exercises to help ease muscle and joint pain. This is not mandatory, but if you choose to participate during class please make sure you are dress comfortably. You receive a MP4 and CD version of this program for home use.

All participants will also receive the Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Pain resource book (see attached) along with the handout materials and relaxation recordings.

This workshop is offerend in partnership with The City of Peterborough and registration is required due to limited space.

To register, please call Dustin at 705-742-7777 x 2481 or click  on the City of Peterborough website link.
