Join the Art Gallery of Peterborough for a final performance of "Danza de la Vida," performed by Kate Alton, Ryan Kerr, and Kate Story.
"Danza de la Vida" is a commissioned, responsive dance performance animating "Mira la Vida," -- a large-scale kinetic sculpture by artist Stan Olthuis, comprised of two eight-foot intersecting discs representing the elements of our world: water, earth, fire, and air.
The performance explores life in all its complexity in various states and emotions, moving with the underlying mathematic rhythm of sacred geometry as the bodies find balance in relation to each other and their world.
Performance begins at 2:00 pm and runs for approximately 20 minutes. Seating is very limited, so arriving early is recommended.
Following the performance will be a reception to celebrate Stan Olthuis, "Interconnected," which closes the same day.
This event is free and open to the public. All are welcome.
