Join us at Dreams of Beans (141 Charlotte St.) for a free day of fixing, mending, and mingling. Bring in your broken items - whether it's a finicky toaster, a wobbly chair, or a ripped seam or hole in a favourite piece of clothing. Our talented team of repair volunteers will do their best to breathe new life into them. It's a great way to reduce waste, learn new skills, and connect with your community. So grab your broken treasures and come on down to the Repair Cafe - we can't wait to see what we can fix together! This is a free event but we gratefully accept donations to cover the cost of repair materials.
Also, April 26 happens to be the official “Mend in Public Day" so we are welcoming folks to come to Dreams of Beans to hang out and do their own independent mending in the main part of the cafe. Mend in Public Day promotes community building as we repair and make our loved items last (in protest against disposable fashion).
