For Suzanne Cody and Gwyneth James, the chance to work together seemed like too good of an opportunity to pass up. After working on their own for years following the acquisition of their Certified General Accountant (CGA) designations, the women joined forces in 2013 to form Cody & James CGAs, which had been known as TCP Accounting & Tax Services for the previous 25 years.

Currently located at 1434 Chemong Road, Unit 3, in Northview Commerce Court, the firm is about to break ground beside Portage Place thanks to a recent purchase of land made by the women and another investor, Darryl Goodall of Part-time CFO Services. They plan on creating a 3-unit office building with ample space and parking, keeping it accessible for their clients who come from as far as Cobourg and Bancroft. Work on this project is set to begin this month (December 2014), which everyone is excited about!

Cody and James is a full service firm with the goal to be “the accounting department for your small business”. They offer multiple services including some you won’t find done by larger firms.
