Lakefield’s Faith Dickinson Wins Me to We Youth In Action Award

Twelve-year-old Lakefield sensation Faith Dickinson—known for her amazing Cuddles for Cancer blankets—has won a major Canadian award: a Me to We Youth in Action Award, announced in the October issue of Canadian Living magazine where she is spotlighted.

Faith epitomizes thinking local and acting global, and this prestigious award—which was chosen through online voting—exemplifies how she leads her life.

Her Cuddles For Cancer, making cuddly blankets for people battling cancer and needing comfort (and hope), is a fantastic initiative that changes people's lives.

"The support from her school, church, and County and City of Peterborough was completely overwhelming," Faith's mom, Carrie, tells PTBOCanada. "From coast to coast Canadians voted....and she is blown away that she won. She's turning 13 on September 10th, so this is such a GREAT GIFT for her!!!

Faith will be receiving her Youth in Action award at a We Day Toronto event on October 1st.
