Enjoy Free Two-hour Holiday Parking In December

Thanks for HotSpot’s sponsorship, you can now thoroughly enjoy free two-hour holiday parking at all downtown municipal parking spaces during December. Parking fees collected at pay-and-display machines, parking meters or via the HotSpot App during the free two-hour period will be donated to Kawartha Food Share.

Last year, people who parked downtown in December paid $16,256 into pay-and-display machines, parking meters, and the HotSpot app with all payments collected from the free two-hour holiday parking initiative donated to Kawartha Food Share.

“We are so thankful for the continued support we receive from the City of Peterborough, HotSpot and all the local shoppers each December,” says Ashlee Aitken, General Manager of Kawartha Food Share.

“This donation significantly assists us in replenishing our food supply after the busy holiday season and allows us to ensure that no one goes hungry in our community,” she adds.
