Village By Lantern Light Hits Lang Pioneer Village For Aug. 12

Lang Pioneer Village is getting some rustic nighttime charm as their Village by Lantern Light taking place on Aug.12 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., announced on Wednesday.

The village is illuminated by lanterns and candlelight to provide visitors with a different twilight-to-nightfall perspective of the historic village.

Guests will learn how settler families spent their time after dark. They will discover the sleep arrangements for families in various home sizes and what the typical bedtime routine involved including travelling overnight accommodations.

Visitors can also enjoy several other amenities and pioneer lifestyle during nighttime.

Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for students and seniors (60+), $7 for youths (ages 5-14) and free for children under five. Family admission is also available for $40 and includes 2 adults and up to 4 youths (ages 5-14).

Visitors may purchase admission in advance via the Museum’s online shop but advance purchase is not required.

Guests are encouraged to bring a flashlight for added visibility and dress appropriately for the weather as an outdoor event.
