United Way Peterborough & District is celebrating a major milestone this year as it marks 85 years of supporting the local community.

The organization will kick off its 2026 campaign on Sept. 17, with a launch event at Healthy Planet Arena. The event will offer a look at this year’s campaign and an opportunity to recognize the community of donors, volunteers and supporters who have helped United Way make a difference over the past 85 years. After several months away from regular service, The Vine is getting ready to reopen its doors with a grand re-opening on Sept. 15 and dine-in service will resume Sept. 16, with reservations required as the restaurant eases back into regular operations.
