Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Stabbing Of Cab Driver

Arrest Made In Cab Driver Stabbing:

On the 1st of November at approximately 12:47 am officers were called to the area of King and Margaret Street to assist a cab driver that had been stabbed. The driver, a 64-year-old male, was taken to hospital where he is being treated for several stab wounds. As a result of the investigation, officers identified a suspect and at approximately 8:00 pm, Spencer Gerald Cooper age 19 of McKellar Street was located and arrested on McDonnel Street. He has been charged with attempt murder. He has been held in custody and will appear in court later this morning. The victim remains in the hospital in stable condition.
