12 Things You Need To Know About Under The Lock Festival

The 7th Annual Under The Lock Tournament & Festival is February 6th, 7th and 8th, and the entire community is invited to this special weekend! This year, organizers are embracing the 1,000 player outdoor hockey tournament with a winter festival for all to enjoy. Here are 12 things you need to know...

1. The Sledge Hockey Corporate Challenge is February 6th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Organizers are still accepting more challengers!

2. There is a FREE Skate Party February 6th from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Everyone is welcome under the lights, and there will be music.

3. There are Great Local Foodies Febuary 6th to 8th: Dr. J's with BBQ Ribs, Pulled Pork & beans; and DooDoos Bakery with Tarts and Vegan Home Sweets with Chilli. On Saturday and Sunday, they'll be adding two more foodies: Shish Kabob Hut with Wrapped Shish Kabob & Fries, and Peterborough Eats with Wrapped Sandwiches, hot chocolate & cookies.

4. There are FREE Kids activities from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 7th.

5. Snofest Pete is joining the festival for an appearance Saturday, February 7th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.!

6. 1,000 kids are playing hockey at the tourney! And there are 300 coaches! AMAZING.

7. There is a Sledge Hockey Exhibition game February 7th in the afternoon between Kawartha Blazers and Durham Steelhawks.

8. There is a sledge hockey Exhibition game February 8th from noon to 2 p.m. between Kawartha Blazers and Peterborough Petes.

9. You can win an autographed George Armstrong sweater or a Pete's sweater with the entire teams' autograph. The Draw will be Sunday at 2 p.m.!

10. Under The Lock has 40 volunteers—and could use 40 more!

11. This ->>>> All proceeds feed back into amateur hockey in the Greater Peterborough Area.

12. The Tournament Championship Games take place Sunday between 1:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
