New "Welcome To Peterborough" Sign Design Approved

City Councillors have approved new signage design that includes the words "Welcome to Peterborough" to be installed near the Visitors' Centre on Crawford Drive in early 2016.

The new vertical sign will come with a landscaped feature, and be located at at the corner of Crawford Dr. and The Parkway.

There was some debate by Councillors as to whether the sign should just say "Peterborough" but they thought "Welcome to Peterborough" would be a more personal touch.

"Peterborough So Totally Rocks" was not under consideration for the sign. But it does.
