Courtney Druce has fought a long and courageous battle with cancer. Sadly, she is losing the fight.
Druce is the daughter of former Peterborough Pete and NHLer John Druce—aka "Drucer".
According to an update on a GoFundMe page for her, this amazing young woman is under hospice care and does not have much time left. She has battled this disease for the last 12 years and given everything she has to conquer it.
Her boyfriend of over two years, Bill Porter, tells PTBOCanada this: "I'm still in shock myself and not really sure what to say... All I can say right now is, she truly has been, is, and always will be an inspiration to us all. Her courage, attitude and huge heart will never cease to amaze me. She truly is someone special."

The GoFundMe page money raised will help with Courtney's medical bills over the years and funeral costs.
Porter and the organizers of the GoFundMe page ask that people continue to share the GoFundMe link, and give what they can. "We're not that far to go to reach the goal," Porter tells PTBOCanada. "It would be awesome to be able to do that while she is still with us."
