Here's What The New Arena Complex In the North End Of Peterborough Could Look Like

A community meeting to seek input and comment on plans for the new Arena Complex Project to be located on Pioneer Road is scheduled for October 4th.

City staff will join the consultant on the project, Perkins + Will, to present concept plans and hear public feedback. All residents are invited to attend to provide their comments. It takes place Tuesday, October 4th at 7 p.m. at Evinrude Centre (Banquet Hall, 911 Monaghan Road).

Here's a rendering of what it could look like...

“The development of this project will meet the needs of the community in replacing the aging Northcrest Arena," says Gillian Barnes, Project Manager, Facilities and Planning Initiatives. "The site at Trent has provided a unique opportunity to develop an arena complex that embraces the natural environment."

Phil Fenech, Team Lead for Perkins + Will Architect, adds: “At the outset we listened to what the site was telling us and imagined what the recreation programs could become. I think we found an innovative approach that allows the community to connect to each other and to their environmental heritage.”
