Peterborough Man Developing Car Mod Show On Shoestring Budget Lands Spot On Discovery's Velocity Channel

Peterborough's Jeremy Kelly been developing a show for almost two years now in and around Ontario on a shoestring budget, and all his hard work and passion has paid off, as he has landed the chance of a lifetime with the show set to air on Discovery's Velocity channel.

HOONIN' All Day revolves around four racing/car mod buddies (Tyler Junkin, Andy McCann, Nate Mitchell and Kelly). "I've been developing it with virtually no budget and with camera gear we had laying around," Kelly tells PTBOCanada.

"My buddies are incredibly talented piloting race cars and are very clever when it comes to car hackery," adds Kelly, who is a huge fan of the Netflix/Velocity show Roadkill and at one point tried to get on that show.

They call the show HOONIN' All Day, and it revolves around the buddies doing car mods and quick builds to test their limits in various forms of racing, drag racing, demolition derbies, endurance racing, time attack and other mediums.

There are four pilot episodes on YouTube but recently, after some luck and a lot of hard work, they landed a chance to air a pilot episode on Discovery's Velocity channel, which has tens of millions of subscribers. Discovery's Velocity channel will air the episode three times as part of their new 'Dispatch' DIY programming favourites, and feature these episodes on national TV.

Kelly actually flew down to Georgia to show Roadkill host Mike Finnegan the episode in person at the "Caffeine and Octane" car show. And now, in a poetic note, their show is airing in prime time right smack-dab in the middle of a couple Roadkill episodes.
