Tacheenais not only a well known middle-eastern dish, it’s the name of a new restaurant in the North end. The proud husband and wife team of Hussain Ali and Zaineb Naim had always dreamt of opening their own business, serving delicious Tacheena, Kebab’s, chicken tikka, Guss, falafel, soups, wraps, and more. Located at 1123 Water Street, at Marina, in the former Pye’s Buns a Deli location, stop in and try a dish, or check out their menu, which you’ll find on Tacheena Peterborough’s Facebook page. Or call 705.749.1993.

Mention the Pizza Factory and many people will talk about their incredible Caesar Salad. Well now you can take a bottle of that powerful potion home with you and pretend it’s yours, because Pizza Factory owners Peter and Anna Bouzinelos and their family are selling the Caesar dressing in four local grocery stores—Sobey’s on Lansdowne and Towerhill, and Foodland Stores on Sherbrooke and in East City. You can also buy olive oil at the restaurant from Peter’s home town in Greece, and there are plans to bottle their Greek salad dressing and spaghetti sauce soon as well.
