21-Year-Old Peterborough Man Faces Multiple Charges For Drug Trafficking

A 21-year-old Peterborough man is facing several charges for drug trafficking after an investigation the spanned several months.

At roughly 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police with the Peterborough Police Drug Unit spotted the suspect in the Aylmer Street and Charlotte Street area. He was taken into custody without incident. 

Officers executed a search warrant at a Stewart Street residence and seized the following:

  • 232 grams of cocaine

  • 360 grams of ecstasy

  • 25 grams psilocybin

  • 14,400 milligrams of marijuana products

  • A small quantity of Lysergic Acid Diethylamide

  • Over $5,000 in Canadian currency

The suspect was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs (Psilocybin)

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Other Drugs (Ecstasy)

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
    Possession of a Schedule III substance for the purpose of Trafficking - (Lysergic Acid Diethylamide)

  • Possessing cannabis for the purpose of selling

  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5000 - in Canada

  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The suspect is bound by a probation order with the following conditions to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

He is being held in custody and will appear in court on Thursday.
